SOMERVILLE DEPARTMENT OF FRAGRANCE

Nicholas Martin, Director

Nicholas Martin has been appointed Director of the Somerville Department of Fragrance, effective 2026.

“I’m honored accept this appointment and to guide the Department in its next chapter of integrity and openness”

Nicholas will lead efforts to renew the Department’s reputation through public outreach, education, and the shared enjoyment of scent.

“My goal is simple: to bring fragrance into the community and to transform our City into a world class fragrance destination.”

He brings extensive experience in olfaction and leadership, along with a deep respect for the Office and its mission.

“I have devoted myself to service and the study of fragrance. For those who question my qualifications, I ask only that you look at the middle of my face."
